GIANT HALIFAX BECOMES A GOLD SPONSOR OF MRWA
Barry Misener, owner of Giant Bicycle Halifax remembers years ago being contacted by Kaarin Tae and Lawrence Plug, asking if he and his staff could attend and show support for a project they had in mind that they felt would contribute to better health and the well being of many HRM residents, and had the potential to change the landscape of Halifax.
Well, my staff and I did attend the meeting, along with many others, and Kaarin and Lawrence made a major breakthrough as the community made a pledge to explore the possibilities of putting a solid plan in place, and then following through with it.
Fast forward to 2021 where the MRWA trail system not only exists and is enjoyed by many, and continues to grow and gain momentum. It's a true success story for all!
"This trail system has done so much for HRM outdoor enthusiasts as well as tourists to date, and the potential is limitless", states shop owner BMan Misener.
