Your nickname?

It depends on the circle of people. There may be one or two nicknames.

If you could choose to have one superpower, what would it be?

Immortality.

How many years have you been associated with the bike biz?

Someone once asked me if I have been a bicycle mechanic my whole life. I said “not yet”! Since 1993 so 28 years as of this writing.

What is your favorite beverage?

Espresso

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Something different from week to week. It changed a lot.

What’s the best movie you have ever watched?

I actually have a pretty long list of memorable favourites.

Name the number one bike accessory you recommend to your friends?

Shimano pedals. Road or MTB, it doesn’t matter. There are lots of brands and gimmicks out there. No one comes close to the toughness and reliability of any of Shimano’s pedal systems. Same for their hydraulic brakes, any discipline...and drivetrains.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lasagna. It has pretty much everything you need from a nutritional standpoint.

What is your favorite pastime away from work?

Spending time with Kate and Ralphie, obviously cycling, but also guitar, and chess.
