Giant Bicycle Halifax 2020/21 Trainer Lineup
Over the past few years, the trainer landscape has changed dramatically. Smart trainers, which at one time we're only used by elite riders have become mainstream as prices dropped, and value and performance increased.

After doing a lot of research, witnessing industry trends, and actually using most of these products, we've decided to streamline the trainers we will offer for the 2021 trainer season in an effort to present the simplest, cleanest product line possible that we feel will satisfy all levels of customers. Please feel free to utilize the provided product links which will give you all the info, and no doubt more than you will ever need, compliments of DC Rainmaker. For simplicity sake, we'll list our product line in the order of price, highest to lowest.

Tacx Neo 2
For those who want the best, and understand there is a price to go with that, we will have the Tacx Neo 2 available. The Neo has held the position of being the mac daddy of all smart trainers for over 5 years now, and last year the T2 model was been upgraded with stronger magnets to provide a smoother and more powerful ride at low rpms. Our price? $1999, the same price it is everywhere, online and in brick and mortar stores all over the world when you convert currencies, which you have to do if you want to know what the real price is. Please see the chart at the bottom of this page to compare the specs of the models we stock, and a note about currencies, and credit card fees, for US dollar orders that apply to US internet purchases. Currently backordered, hoping to be available soon.

Wahoo Kickr Core
Last year this trainer won accolades not so much for innovation, but for the value it provided. Wahoo basically dropped the price of their best trainer, the Kickr, and called it the Kickr Core. Bingo, people were all over the unit, due to its rock solid history, and the new price of $1299 vs the $1799 its bigger brother, the Kickr Smart. It was the trainer of choice for those looking for a high end trainer, but without wanting to break the bank like the Neo tends to.  The Wahoo Kickr Core is back for 2021, unchanged, and with a track record second to none. Our price? $1299, the same price it is everywhere, online and in brick and mortar stores all over the world when you convert currencies, which you have to do if you want to know what the real price is. Please see the chart at the bottom of this page to compare the specs of the models we stock, and a note about currencies, and credit card fees, for US dollar orders that apply to US internet purchases. In stock now, available for immediate purchase.

Elite Suito
So after reading the story above the Kickr Core, Elite took a similar approach for last season. The Elite Suito, provided a ton of value and excitement in the direct drive category when it arrived on the scene. No assembly required, everything needed in one box, it is the first high end direct drive unit that comes in sub $1200 Canadian dollars, and included with it is a 105 eleven speed cassette, all the QR/ thru axle adapters you will ever need unless you’re running a boost hub, and it also comes with a complimentary one month free subscription to Zwift. I said pardon! Yep, you've got it, all that and a unit that churns out some pretty heavy wattage...quietly, and accurately. Our price? $1199, the same price it is everywhere, online and in brick and mortar stores all over the world when you convert currencies, which you have to do if you want to know what the real price is. Please see the chart at the bottom of this page to compare the specs of the models we stock, and a note about currencies, and credit card fees, for US dollar orders that apply to US internet purchases. In stock now, available for immediate purchase.

Elite Tuo Trainer
So we know from past experience that not everyone is willing to, or wants to invest in a $1000+ trainer to maintain their fitness through the winter, but in all honesty folks, with the price of new smart interactive trainers, that grinding away on and old fluid, or mag trainer from ten years ago will grow old very quickly on you. To cover off the consumer that wants a proven trainer, with solid resistance, is fully smart and interactive, and ready for pairing up with a smart phone, or Zwift, we offer the Elite Tuo. We sold a ton of its predecessor, the Qubo B last season and didn't have one complaint. This trainer is a wheel on unit vs. all the above, which are direct drive. We feel for the price of $749, this product fits perfectly into our best of the best trainer lineup. Currently backordered, hoping to be available soon.

Why Not Support Local Small Business?
We'd also like to point out to those web savvy consumers that our products are priced to compete with not only local retailers, but also the rest of the world. The majority of pricing you see on the worldwide web is in US dollars which presently is going to add 33% onto that amazing deal you thought you just saw. Actually, that deal is not so amazing if you're honest with yourself.) Do the math, apply the exchange rate at 1.33, add the hidden 2.5% credit card exchange rate fee that you won't see till next month's statement comes in, and then add the brokerage and shipping fees to get your real price. At Giant Bicycle Halifax we're hoping you'll consider shopping and supporting local small business this trainer season and pay not a penny more by doing so.
